Movement Classes

If you aren’t consciously focusing on improving, then you’re getting worse.

So what’s it to be?

..the inevitable slow decline?… or are you going to do something about it?

A movement class that corrects movement.

A movement class for everyone to express their human-ness

Humans are lazy by nature.

We get stuck doing the same repetitive movements all day long.

Our bodies choose the path of least resistance, that’s just the way it is.

You don’t get stiff because you get old.

It’s a lifestyle thing.

What is Movement Therapy?

I’ve been teaching Pilates for the best part of a decade. I love Pilates for all sorts of reasons. Pilates exercises are really great for rehabilitation purposes, which perfectly compliments my manual therapy practice. Pilates focuses on breathwork, alignment & core stability. These core principles, when practiced regularly, help offset the negative effects of modern life.

I’m always learning new skills and integrating new concepts into my classes - I used lockdown as an opportunity to delve into a new method…I trained as a Functional Range Conditioning (FRC) coach.

As a therapist, FRC spoke to me on so many levels.

Improved joint health, body control, injury prevention, physical longevity and greater movement capacity.

FRC is a hugely beneficial practice and I love the similarities it has with Pilates

I now teach a happy blend of Pilates and FRC, which I like to call ‘Pilates-ish’. My classes are designed to increase capacity for movement and reduce pain / dysfunction.
